Located next to the cathedral, in the historical heart of Bayeux, the collections of the MAHB are presented in the former episcopal palace. To guide the path of the visitor and ease the understanding of the artworks, the museum tour is organized chronologically around 14 sections spread over two levels, the ground floor includes 5 stages ranging from prehistory to the Renaissance and the floor includes the following 9 steps, relating to collections from the 17th to the 20th century. Bayeux museums are accessible WITHOUT prior reservation.
The MAHB is easily accessible from the SNCF train station or the major highways. Parking is in the immediate vicinity. The short distance separating the 3 museums of the city makes it possible to reach them on foot.
The MAHB is open 7 days a week and is accessible to people with reduced mobility (lift + wheelchair loan). We remain at your disposal for any request regarding accessibility in our museums.
